Ontario 49 costs just 50 cents to play with a potential grand prize of $1 million. Tickets are sold until 9:00pm Eastern Time on draw days which consist of each Wednesday and Saturday.

In addition to playing the next draw, participants are able to play up to ten draws in advance. Winning the grand prize is accomplished by matching all six numbers with those drawn. Numbers are random and are from one to 49.

If there is more than one winner for either the grand prize or the second prize of $50,000, it will be shared among the winners. Any winnings must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date. Any unclaimed winnings will revert to the provincial government to benefit the residents of Ontario. The odds of winning any prize amount are 1 in 54.

Ontario Encore

Ontario Encore is a seven digit number game with a daily draw that takes place at 9 pm Eastern time. Numbers are drawn by a mechanical lottery ball machine. The Ontario Encore is essentially an add on game that can be played through a host lotto offering such as Lotto 6/49, Super 7 and Winner Takes All.

Players pay $1 per play. Up to ten Encore plays can be made per ticket. Players need to maker the number of ENCORE they wish to play on their selection slip, and for each play selected, a seven digit number is printed below the regular ticket numbers. The ENCORE number is valid for the same draw dates as the host game.

Players cannot choose their own numbers and prizes are set and not shared. A correct selection of all seven numbers earns the players a cool $1 million. Subsequent prizes are as follows: Last six numbers - $100K, last five numbers - $1000, last four numbers - $100, last three numbers - $10, last two numbers - $5, last number or first number - free ticket.
