Commonly referred to as Euro Lottery, Euro Millions began in 2004 and was initially launched in France, Spain and the U.K. In addition to those three countries, it can now also be played in Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxemburg, Portugal and Switzerland. Drawings are held once a week on Friday and take place in Paris. The cost is �2 per line played with an opportunity to win millions.
To play, participants pick five main numbers from 1 to 50 and two different luck star numbers from a pool of nine numbers. If a player matches all seven numbers, then they walk away with the jackpot. The more people who play, the bigger the grand prize may be.
