Just about every week somewhere in the world, someone is lucky enough to win a multi-million dollar, pound or euro lottery, but when the winners are particularly deserving, it makes each payout that much sweeter.

Consider, for instance, husband and wife Elizabeth and Micheal Kennedy from Edmonton, Canada, who recently won a huge $10-million Lotto Max jackpot, that couldn't have come at a better time for the financially struggling couple.

Michael, 31, had recently been laid of as an electrician and was struggling to find work, while Elizabeth, 30, was forced to host Tupperware parties to earn enough money to help the couple make ends meet in these tough economic times.

But now the couple's financial woes are a thing of the past thanks to their $10 million Lotto Max windfall. Said an excited Elizabeth at the lottery check handover, 'We thought there was some kind of error. In fact, I still feel like I'm dreaming.'

According to the lucky lady, Elizabeth bought a $6 Quick Pick Lotto Max ticket at a 7-Eleven and only discovered she had the winning ticket the next week. After she got over the initial shock, she called her husband with the good news.

When asked if the couple - who have two young children - would retire, they laughed and said that they were to young. 'We would just get bored and angry with each other and probably end up divorced two years from now,' said Elizabeth.

However, that will not stop the couple from enjoying some of their new found wealth, as they intend to go on a lengthy trip around Canada once they have paid off all their outstanding bills and bought a new house and perhaps a new car.
