The British Columbia Lottery Corporation, on a quest to improve its products and provide its players with an enhanced gaming experience, has opened a new Lotto Signature Store in Vancouver.

The new concept store will provides visitors with an entirely different offering to what they have been used to at regular lottery retailers across Canada. And in this vein, the BCLC will seek the public's opinion of the new store.

"Visitors to the new Lotto Signature Store will immediately notice an enhanced experience through improved customer service, increased access to responsible gambling and product information, a comfortable seating area, digital signage and marketing promotions," reads the statement released by the BCLC.

Situated at Champlain Square Mall in Vancouver, the BCLC Lottery Signature Store is open Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4, Saturdays from 9 am - 4 pm, and is closed on Sundays.

Regional Lottery Prize Payout Center

The BCLC Lotto Signature Store will not only sell lottery tickets and provide players with information about the different lottery opportunities in British Columbia, but will also serve as a regional payout center for prizes of up to $9,999.

Currently winner can only claim prizes up to $1,000 at regular lotto retail locations, so the idea is that these Signature Stores will eventually serve as an alternative to traditional lottery kiosks in Canadian malls.

All BCLC lottery products will be available in the Signature Store, including Sports Action, Lotto 6/49 lottery tickets, BC 49 lottery tickets, Lotto Max lottery tickets and Keno tickets. In addition, players will be able to purchase BCLC Scratch 'n Win tickets.

BCLC Responsible Gambling Policy

The new Lotto Signature Store will also offers players information about responsible gambling. Tablets in-store will link players to sites like gamesense.ca and bclc.com to teach them about responsible gaming habits.

GameSense.com is a BCLC initiative which teaches players about responsible play education along with information about the risks associated with gambling. Players can assess themselves for problem gambling habits and the site provides tips to reduce the risk of compulsive behavior.

Other important messages will appear on digital screens within the Lotto Signature Store.
