Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG), one of Canada's leading horse racing operators, announced last week that it was launching a new mobile betting platform.

Woodbine's new HorsePlayer Interactive (HPI), will provide Woodbine customers with the opportunity to enjoy top notch horse race gambling in the palm of their hands, with the backing of a reputable company.

Woodbine Entertainment Group said that it had been pushed to create the new mobile platform due to the growing demand for top notch gambling platforms and the "consumer popularity of mobile devices."

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Woodbine Entertainment, Nick Eaves said: "Today's launch is further proof that WEG is the industry leader in technology, horse racing, gaming and entertainment."

He said that mobile devices have become powerful mini-computers with high speed networks and data plans which are more affordable and accessible.

"This new mobile site takes advantage of these realities and is much like using a self serve terminal in the palm of your hand," he said.

Woodbine Brings Excellent Mobile Features to Canadians

The new Woodbine Entertainment product, HorsePlayer Interactive, offers Canadian an excellent opportunity to wager from their own mobile devices.

Bets can be placed using WEG's advanced user friendly interface, including all the popular HPI features such as live video streaming.  Players will also be able to enjoy unique programs, view results and replays and manage their accounts.

The HorsePlayer Interactive will also allow players to reap all the benefits of the HIP rewards program.

While Woodbine Entertainment optimized its HorsePlayer Interactive mobile betting platform for Android and iPhone users, it is still compatible with a majority of mobile devices.
