With tickets for Saturday's highly-anticipated 2012 FA Cup Final at London's Wembley Stadium advertised for as much as £10,000, there is no doubt this will be a huge match, as Chelsea take on Liverpool for the coveted title and trophy.

Apart from the lucky few who will get to watch this extravaganza live, tens of millions of avid soccer fans from the UK and abroad are expected to tune in to watch as the London-based Blues take on the Reds from up north in England.

There is Much at Stake for both Teams

What will make this such a nail-biting showdown is what is at stake for both sides. For Liverpool, winning the FA Cup will mean a prestigious double, after the club won this year's League Cup. For Chelsea, a victory could mean the first leg of their double, the second leg being if they beat Bayern Munich on May 19 to snag the UEFA Champions League title.

So regular and betting fans alike are no doubt champing at the bit for tomorrow's FA Cup Final, which will pit two of England's top teams against each other. Statistically, Saturday's game will mark the 10th FA Cup showdown between the clubs, with Chelsea leading Liverpool on 5-4 in victories, and no draws.

From an FA Cup final betting point of view, Chelsea have been posted as the slight favourites over Liverpool, but there is little doubt that both of these clubs are more than capable of outscoring the other. Chelsea 29/20

Liverpool 2/1

Perhaps part of the reason Liverpool will start as the underdogs tomorrow is the fact that despite winning the Carling Cup in February, they've had a relatively lack-luster season in the English Premier League, being 34 points off the top spot (shared by co-leaders Man City and Man Utd), and 12 points behind Chelsea. That said, Liverpool will be focused on just one game, because despite their Premier League season, an FA Cup title is worth more in the kudos stakes.

In terms of Chelsea, they will be keeping in mind that by winning the FA Cup their confidence will be greatly boosted ahead of their Champions League final in a few weeks. Their recent surprising Premier League home loss at the hands of Newcastle United may have affect their confidence going into tomorrow's game, but then Chelsea have been known to exhibit more than their fair share of big matchplay temperament when required, so expect them to come out firing.
