A computer technician from Burnaby, Canada is still in a state of disbelief after finding himself the winner of nearly $1.5 million in Friday's Lotto Max Draw.

29 year old Andrej Koudlai is brand new to the exciting world of lotteries and has only been purchasing tickets on a weekly basis for around six months.

Before Friday's Lotto Max draw, Koudlai bought his ticket at the Parkgate Village Shopping Center in North Vancouver.

After the draw this weekend, Koudlai was stunned to find that he had correctly guessed six out of the seven numbers, as well as the bonus number on the $50 million draw.

"It's definitely going to change my life and my family's life for the better," said Koudlai, in what must be the understatement of the year.

The technician said that while he would be investing a lot of the money, he would definitely be treating himself to a new car or two.

"Investing is good but you don't really feel the presence of the money," he said, justifying his decision. "I've never really had a decent care, so I'll probably spoil myself with a couple of new cars before going to see a financial advisor."

Koudlai also said that he would be using some of the money to upgrade his education.

In the meantime, Canadians are rushing to buy tickets for this week's Lotto Max draw, with a jackpot that could see a lucky player win $35 million or more.

Friday's draw resulted in two tickets each winning $25 million, as well as plenty of smaller Max Millions wins.
