Amaya Gaming Signs Deal with Betfair
A lucrative new deal has been signed between Amaya Gaming, the Montreal based games solutions provider, and one of the UK's most successful gaming companies, Betfair.
The multi year licensing deal will see Amaya provide some of its proprietary and branded games to complement the games on the Betfair Arcade platform.
The games will be integrated through OpenBet in the three year agreement.
"We are pleased to welcome as a customer such a well recognized brand in Betfair," said the senior vice president of Amaya Interactive, Ian Price. "We have every confidence that our growing list of leading edge games will enable Betfair to broaden its client base by enhancing overall player entertainment on their Arcade site. We look forward to a long term mutually beneficial partnership."
Betfair UK Company of the Year
The deal signed between the Canadian gambling company and Betfair is an important one, considering the excellent reputation that Betfair has in the international gambling industry.
Considered one of the world's largest international online sports betting companies, Betfair has been named Company of the Year on two occasions in the United Kingdom.
In addition, Betfair has won two Queen's Awards for Enterprise - one of the highest honors bestowed on a UK company.
Two thousand people are employed by Betfair from around the world.
Betfair pioneered the idea of a betting exchange twelve years ago and allows its customers to bet at odds which they (the customers) set themselves.
A staggering seven million transactions are processed via the Betfair platform every day, and the group boasts four million registered customers.
While the sports betting platform is Betfair's most active, this is also complemented by its Casino, Arcade and Poker platforms.
Against this background, it is easy to understand that the deal which Amaya Gaming signed with Betfair is a very lucrative one.
Amaya Gaming Continues Industry Growth
The Amaya Gaming Betfair deal just the latest in a series of important contracts and acquisitions undertaken by Amaya in the past year.
Perhaps the most significant was Amaya's purchase of the online gambling software provider group, Cryptologic - a deal that was sealed earlier this year.
Amaya was founded in 2004 and has its products and services spread across the world, including North and Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
The agreement with Betfair will allow the group even more brand exposure among gamblers and players world wide.
