Big Things Expected from Doyle Duo in Woodbine Allowance

Although no graded stakes are scheduled for Thursday's card at Woodbine Racecourse in Toronto, Canada, racing fans can still look forward to some exciting allowances, including race 7 that has attracted a field of 13 fillies.
Open to 3-year-old Ontario-sired fillies that have never won two races, the $59,700 Allowance over 6 1/2 furlongs should be a real humdinger, especially for trainer Mike Doyle who has entered coupled 8/1 shots, Shesadozer and Gin Queen.
As a two-year-old, Shesadozer placed in the 6 furlong Nandi Stakes, where she was narrowly beaten by Oistins. In April's 5 furlong season opener, the filly finished third, and in the 7-furlong restricted Lady Angela Stakes, she came fourth.
Gin Queen, however, could only muster up a seventh place in the Lady Angela Stakes. But before that in her season opener, she ran better and finished in second place, earning herself a not-too-shabby 72 Beyer Speed Figure in the process.
According to reports, Doyle is quietly confident that either of his two fillies could pull off a win on Thursday. However, they'll first have to contend with 3/1 race favourite Queen On Line, who has come off three consecutive top-three finishes.
Queen On Line ran her last three races under the guidance of race horse trainer Bob Tiller. However, she recently moved back to the barn of her original trainer, Ian Black, and it will be interesting to see if his training technique results in a win.
Second favourite Nocookiesforpapa could also be a threat. Nocookiesforpapa, who snatched second place in the Victorian Queen Stakes last year, has been lightly raced this season which could either turn out to be a blessing or a hindrance.
