Injured Rooney Returns to England World Cup Side
Three players were conspicuously missing from the English side's training session on Monday, although Tuesday saw two of them return in time to practice with their team.
Wayne Rooney sustained a minor injury when he was kicked during England's World Cup game against the United States.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Monday saw Rooney work out in the hotel swimming pool and by Tuesday he was back at the training session.
Ashley Cole also didn't take part in Monday's training, although analysts say that this is not unusual as he usually sits out on sessions immediately following a match.
Unfortunately, defender Ledley King did not return to the field on Tuesday after sustaining a more serious groin injury.
English side doctors have expressed their fears that King will not be able to continue in the World Cup tournament, although the Football Association would not speculate and said that they were monitoring his condition on a daily basis.
Doctors say that if he has any chance of taking part, he will be side lined until the quarter finals of the tournament at least.
This means that King will not be taking part in the England vs Algeria match on Friday, as well as the other Group C game against Slovenia.
England remains huge favourites to win the match against Algeria, but interesting bets are being offered regarding Capello's choice for a goalkeeper after Robert Green's disastrous own goal during the US/England match.
Odds show that Capello will stake his belief in Green, while David James and Joe Hart also appear on the list at bookie sites.
