Winner Winner Chicken Dinner at Winner Casino
As a long-time fan of U.S. actor/whoremonger/regular drug user Charlie Sheen, the one - and possibly only thing - I have liked about his rapid and head-scratching descent from 'badboyland' to 'certifiablycrazyland' is his repeated and frenzied use of the word 'winner'.
The reason being that as I am Canada's self-proclaimed number one online gambling fan, winner and winning go hand in hand with online gambling. Certainly in my mind, because I have always believed that a positive mental attitude in life will get you a lot farther than a negative mental attitude. Now, if you're anything like me you'll have read my last sentence and said out loud or in your head 'duh, obviously.'
But you'd be surprised how many people don't know this, especially gamblers who walk into land casinos or log into Canadian online casinos saying to themselves something to the effect of 'Let's see how long it takes me to lose all my money.' As Charlie would no doubt say, 'What a bunch of losers, no good trolls, people who deserve to have their heads... You get the idea.
Now, while I am winner - literally - I cannot lie and say that I automatically win each and every time I plat at a Canadian online casino. Of course I don't. If I did, do you really think I would be wasting my time writing blogs? Hell no, I'd own the house next to Charlie Sheen, and the two of us would tear up Hollywood and its women-folk like the night sky on the Fourth of July! My point is that a positive mental attitude is a 'barrier to entry' or should be when it comes to any form of gambling.
You see, winning is not just about logging off an online casino $400 up from when your started, although that's a big part of it. no sirree, winning is also about your attitude in both your highs and your lows. Lemme give you an example.
Last week I played at one of my favorite Canadian-friendly online casinos, the aptly named Winner Casino, and ended up just over $1,500 richer than when I started, which was a pretty good result for me. I was obviously happy to have 'won' such a nice windfall, but the true winner in me recognized that while I had an awesome session, the prudent thing to do instead of blowing all my winnings on my next session to see if I could 'recapture' my winning streak, was to stick to my regular budget and in that way help my playing funds go as far as possible and thus increase my chances of winning.Winner!
Alternatively, two weeks ago during a horrible 'unlucky streak', the winner in me staved off any temptation to throw more money at the unfair, nonpaying games, and instead helped me accept that I was in a rough patch and to keep to my online gambling budget unchanged while waiting for my next winning streak. (Which as I have said above, was only a week away).
Sure, it may not always be easy to keep a winning or positive mental attitude, but it always, repeat always, pays off in the long run. Winner winner chicken dinner!
