You may have gathered by the title of this blog that my following tried and tested top 5 online roulette tips are only applicable to Canadian online gamblers, and you would be right. But not because it has anything to do with online casinos that accept Canadian online gambling fans (of which I am one) or even Canadian dollars as a currency.

No, it is simply because I wish only to impart my priceless online roulette tips to players that covet the maple leaf, i.e. Canucks, and not, repeat NOT, to players that would rather swear allegiance to stripes and stars, jacks of the union or any other countries that are not Canadian, and never will be.

So if you're not Canadian, please click away from this page NOW. Thank you. As for you Canadians, my friends, please read on and feel free to glean all you can from the following pearls, ne chestnuts, of online roulette wisdom. And then go forth and use said chestnuts to rip your chosen online roulette games a new one en route to ramping up and relishing untold roulette riches to come:

1. Pick only the best online casinos with the best online roulette games.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Duh, obviously I'll pick best online casinos with the best online roulette games." But you'd be surprised at how many players do not know a good online casino from their elbow. But here's how to recognize good online casinos: First, only play at casinos that are licensed, and thus reputable. Second choose online casinos that accept Canadian dollars. Third choose online casinos that are powered by the best online casino software such as Microgaming, Playtech or Rival Gaming, because the greater the software, the greater the quality of online casino games, including online roulette.

2. Never ever play American Roulette

I know some people out there think that if it's American or has "American" attached to it, it must be cool, right? Wrong. Unlike traditional European roulette with its 36 numbers, American roulette has two sets of zeros on the board, the regular single zero (0) plus a double zero (00), giving it 37 numbers. And what that extra 00 does is give you a lower statistical advantage (2.63%) of picking a single winning number than that of European roulette (2.70%). Think of it as two evenly matched race horses. Evenly matched except that one has to carry 36kgs and the other 37kgs. Which horse would you back to win?

3. Only place bets with the best odds

One of the main reasons online roulette is such a popular game is that it offers players a wide variety of bets ranging in odds from high to low. If you, like me, want to win at roulette in the long term, learn to play the low odds bets. For instance, bets like black or red, odds or evens and high or low. The odds of winning one of these bets is just under 50 percent, which are the best odds you'll get in roulette. Whereas, the odds of hitting a particular number on European roulette is 2.70 percent. So you tell me which of these bets has a better chance of paying you out long term?

4. Don't waste your time with roulette systems

Roulette is a 100 percent random game. This means that each and every spin of the wheel and release of the little white ball is completely independent of the spin that came before it and the spin that will come after it, i.e. completely random. So much so that there is just as much chance of the same number coming up 5 times in a row as the Pope's dog's birthday. So don't waste your time with systems. Instead, rather learn to appreciate Lady Luck whenever she appears and happens to reward you with piles of chips.

5. Be strong and cash out when you are ahead

Trust me when I tell you that all lucky streaks come to an end. If they didn't, they'd probably be called "lucky always" instead of streaks. When you are ahead, don't be afraid to log off with winnings in your account to play with another day. I'm not suggesting that you should never take a chance or follow your streak when it is red hot. I am just saying that perhaps three out of four times when you are ahead, you should cash out, and then go nuts on the fourth time. You don't want to be that person who boasts about having plenty of streaks, and yet never has any winnings to show for it do you?
