Amaya Welcomes George Sweny and Chris Lewis

The Amaya Gaming Group Inc. has announced that it has appointed a new advisor to its board of directors, along with a new Vice President of Strategic Affairs.

New Advisor to the Board at Amaya

Chris D. Lewis, the former Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is now an advisor to the Amaya Board of Directors. He will be working with other experts on Amaya's compliance committee. Mr. Lewis will be joining another well-known advisor at Amaya, Ben Soave. Mr. Soave joined the team in 2012 after retiring from the position of Chief Superintendent of the RCMP.

George Sweny is New Strategic Ventures VP

George Sweny is the new Vice President of Strategic Ventures at Amaya. Mr. Sweny is a member of the Board of Directors of Canada's Responsible Gambling Council. He has also sat on the North American State Provincial Lotteries Association Board of Directors. Mr. Sweny has held a number of executive positions in the Canadian gambling world, along with his most recent position as the Chief Strategy Office for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Amaya CEO David Baazov Comments

David Baazov, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amaya has welcomed George Sweny and Chris Lewis to the team. In a statement, Mr. Baazov explained the importance of both Mr. Lewis and Mr. Sweny for Amaya.
