OLG and Bally Technologies Announce Agreement
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has signed an agreement for a new central gaming management system provider. Yesterday, the OLG and Bally Technologies announced an agreement whereby Bally Technologies, Inc. will be providing the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation with this solution across the province of Ontario.
The decision has been made as part of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's plan to modernise its operations. The OLG needs to align itself with the Conduct and Manage responsibilities that have been laid out in the Criminal Code in Canada. In order to comply with these guidelines, the company will be using a system from Ballly's that included improved responsible gambling tools. The Bally technology will be used across Ontario at all casino gaming operations and facilities.
"It's an honour to continue and expand our partnership with OLG to provide leading technology gaming systems throughout the province," said Robert Parente, the Senior Vice President of Bally's North American Sale and Corporate Marketing division.
Parente further noted: "This agreement demonstrates our continued commitment to the needs of the Canadian gaming market and we are very excited about working together to help OLG fulfill its modernization."
