OLG and Great Canadian Gaming Extend Slots Lease

At this stage, there is not yet a permanent lease agreement in place between the two companies, although this interim arrangement has been in place since March 31st, 2013, at the time that the previous lease holder's agreement had expired. The recent extension in the agreement regarding the slots at Georgian Downs and at Flamboro Downs has been extended to October 31st, 2013.

While the final lease agreements have not yet been finalised, the two companies have been operating for some months according to an agreement reached earlier this year. The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation have already signed letters of intent regarding the lease of the slot machines at the two racetracks. The final agreement was meant to have begun on April 1st, 2013, for a time period of five years. While the agreement did not officially begin on that date, the two companies have signed and extended interim agreements regarding the lease of the slots areas at both the Georgian Downs racetrack and at the Flamboro Downs racetrack. At this time, the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation are both operating as if the April 1st agreement is already in effect.
