It was announced on Monday that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) have chosen a new provider to replace its Class 3 Gaming Management Systems.

The two groups have selected leading casino games and management solutions provider, Bally Technologies to replace the systems.

The two Canadian gambling providers have entered into a joint project to replace the Gaming Management Systems in each province.

The systems monitor slot machines at multiple sites in these provinces, as well as handle marketing, accounting and media management.

An invitation for proposals was issued last year and after a long process, Bally Technologies was selected.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bally Technologies, Richard M. Haddrill said in a statement: "We look forward to finalizing the process and beginning a collaborative relationship that will help us grow and evolve our programs."

The program is expected to take until next year to begin and another year to complete overall.

"We are honoured and humbled to have come this far in what has been a very thoughtful and forward thinking selection process," he said. "We realize there is much more to be done in the contractual process, and, if contracted, the implementation process, but we are committed to being an excellent and responsive partner if we are given that trust."
