Edmonton Man Wins a Million on Slots
In Edmonton, one lucky player brought in 2014 with a whopping slot win. The 55-year-old Michael Huppe, was playing slots at the Apex Casino in St. Albert on New Year's Eve. Huppe was playing on the Diamond Millions slot game, and he won a $1 million slots jackpot. Although he does not yet have plans for all of his winnings, he does plan to replace his old truck that has broken down more than once. Hard Rock Casino Vancouver New Year Concert
Many Canadian casinos bring in the New Year in style, and the new Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver is certainly one of those that joined in the festive fun. Having just opened its doors with its official opening having taken place in December 2013, the casino was ready to host a concert by Our Lady Peace.
Raine Maida, the lead singer of Our Lady Peace, said that he prefers to play rather than to party. He said: "If I want a wild night out, I can have one. And I really find those highly-anticipated evenings rarely deliver on their promise for me, but put me in front of an excited crowd and my expectations are almost always exceeded." He further noted, "Plus, we're pleased to be playing in the first Hard Rock in Canada."
The Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver has replaced the Coquitlam Boulevard Casino after renovations were done during the summer of 2013. The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation renovated the casino floor, which now has 950 slots, and a number of tables for card and table games, including blackjack, craps, and roulette, along with other casino games and a separate poker room.
Not only will customers find a great casino floor, there are also other facilities, such as the top quality entertainment venue used for the New Year concert, restaurants, and more. Being the Hard Rock Casino, there is much emphasis placed on entertainment and music greats.
