To the delight of their millions of fans, the Chicago Blackhawks can enjoy the distinction of being the only NHL team still undefeated this season after 15 games, which explains why the team from Illinois are currently leading in the standings with 27 points, four points clear of the Anaheim Ducks in second place.

Can Chicago Extend Their Unbeaten Streak?

The team's unbeaten record will be a big reason why all eyes will be on their game against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, to see if the Blackhawks can extend their unbeaten streak and in doing so strengthen their chances of making it to the NHL Playoffs, and beyond to glory in the 2012-13 Stanley Cup.

Looking at Chicago's form this season, there is no doubt that they are firing on all cylinders. Consider their most recent home game against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, who they defeated 3-2. In that game, Brent Seabrook, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp each found the back of the Kings' goal in fine style.

As expected, Chicago pounced on their visitors from the get go, from the get go, building up a convincing 3-0 lead in the first two periods. However, Los Angeles displayed a never-say-die attitude, as Mike Richards managed to put two on the board in the third period. But that was all the home team allowed.

Going into tomorrow night's Canucks vs Blackhawks matchup, although most online sportsbooks have yet to publish the betting lines for that game, there is no doubt Chicago will start as the betting favorites. That said, Vancouver are certainly no slouches, as they are leading the Northwest Division with 19 points.
