Sunday's match up between the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs should be an interesting one to say the least. Consider that in three of the last five NFL seasons the Colts have been the unbeaten team, but that good fortune has not extended to this season. Instead, and no doubt against all expectations, the Kansas City Chiefs have emerged as the only undefeated team in the league.

But whether that means Kansas City will continue their winning streak against an NFL franchise as powerful and used to dominating as the Colts is another story. According to the Chiefs Colts spread as laid by oddsmakers, the answer is no, as they have installed the Colts as the -7 favorites (O/U 45.5) to take down the Chiefs Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

But despite what the Chiefs Colts line is, the fact is that both of these teams have reason and motivation to bring out their A-games on the weekend.

For Indianapolis, it's a matter of saving face and getting back on a winning track after more than a few lack-luster performances. Take their most recent 31-28 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. In that game, even though quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 352 yards and two touchdowns, a dropped interception and two red-zone turnovers ultimately cost the Colt's dearly. And for the first time ever, Indianapolis is 0-2 in the AFC South division.

For Kansas City, it's matter of maintaining their winning form for as long as they can. If they can take down a team like Indianapolis, the kudos and confidence they'll experience could carry them far this season. The secret to the Chiefs success thus far has been its awesome rushing attack which, with an average of 160.7 yards per game, has put it third in the League. That and the fact that Kansas City's superb special teams unit has been firing on all cylinders.

Statistically, in their last 9 showdowns, Kansas City are 2-7 ATS. For Kansas City, the Over is 6-2 in their last 8 games in Week 5. Indianapolis, meanwhile, are 6-1-1 ATS versus a franchise with a winning record, and their Over is 7-2 in their last 9 games versus the AFC division.
