Chartwell Software Receives eCOGRA Seal
Chartwell Technology, the Canada based online gaming software company, has recently been awarded the eCOGRA Certified Software Seal. Despite being well recognized for a long time, up until now, Chartwell Technology had one been approved by eCOGRA.
eCOGRA evaluated the performance of software developers, gaming operators and affiliate programs in the online gaming industry in an attempt to set online gaming standards.
The eGAP standards to which software suppliers are tested, concentrate on the internal controls that administrate their development environment to ensure that the software is operated and maintained in a safe and reliable fashion.
Chartwell Technology sought out the eCOGRA certification. The reasoning behind this decision was explained by the Vice President of Software Development at Chartwell, Clinton Begin as follows: "This was a good test of all our development, business and control systems and I believe we benefited from the full professional assessment and recommendations made by the eCOGRA compliance auditor on this inspection visit to our Calgary facility."
Compliance manager for eCOGRA, Shaun McCallaghan, provided the on-site audit and assessment the at Calgary facility for Chartwell Technology. Mc Callaghan praised Chartwell for their cooperation and organization and recommended that they be awarded the eCOGRA seal for meeting all of the eCOGRA requirements.
Chartwell will require sustained monitoring and annual reviews to maintain the eCOGRA seal.
Chartwell Technology was founded in 1998. It supplies software to online gaming operators without running any casinos itself. It operates from Calgary, Singapore, London and Malta. and is licenses to provide services in all major gaming jurisdictions.
