The winner of a whopping $41 million Lotto Max prize has still not stepped forward to claim his windfall, it was announced by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

It just may be that one lucky Canadian is walking around not knowing that he or she became a multi millionaire several times over this weekend.

According tot he WCLC, the winning ticket was purchased in Edmonton.

It may be that the winner is trying to come to terms with the news and will step forward in the coming days.

Winners have up to a year to claim their prize.

The latest win comes less than a month after another lottery player, Joanne Tsetta, also from Edmonton, took home a multi million dollar win.

Tsetta split the $41 million prize with Bonnie Pierce of London, Ontario.

The Lotto Max jackpot was reset to its traditional $10 million base on the weekend,

If the lottery prize had rolled over to the next week and hit the $50 million milestone, Canadians would have seen Maxmillions come into play since the Lotto Max has a $50 million limit.

Maxmillions are essentially draws that are held for every round million that the jackpot climbs over its ceiling figure, and players can stand to win lots of super cash through these additional draws.

The unknown winner had to land all seven balls to win the $41.7 million that remains unclaimed, and we should know who the lucky person is in the coming days.
