Why The 649 Lottery Is A Good Bet In A Weak Economy
These days everyone seems to have an opinion when it comes to playing the Canadian 6/49 lottery. For instance, many people feel that spending even a few dollars a week on the lottery is no different to flushing it down the toilet. You see, they feel strongly that because the odds of winning a 6/49 lottery jackpot are so astronomical (which they are), spending money on the lottery is no different to flushing it down the toilet.
But to many other people, playing the lottery provides them with a key human trait - 'hope'. Lotto 6/49 players are full of hope that if they hit the big one, they'll finally escape their financial woes, especially when the economy is not so hot. They're hoping for a day when they can build a financially brighter future for themselves and their loved ones. And that kind of hope is well worth a few dollars or more a week to them.
As for me, I fall squarely in the latter camp. You see, I am probably the biggest lottery fan in Canada. Never a week goes by that I don't 'invest' a few dollars on Lotto 6/49. Part of the reason is that I would love to be financially independent so that I could live the rest of my life according to my every whim, and the other part of the reason is that I love the idea that I could be the next Lotto 6/49 player that Lady Luck smiles on.
I believe the key to playing Lotto 6/49 is to buy as few tickets as possible. In my case just two per week, for the Wednesday and Saturday draws, at a cost of $4. The reason I am so frugal is threefold. One, I can easily afford $4 a week, two, I can buy my Lotto 6/49 tickets online, so I don't have to spend $4 in gas to buy $4 worth of tickets, and three I have left my lottery chances solely in the hands of Lady Luck herself.
And if Lady Luck decides it's my time to win a multi-million dollar Lotto 6/49 jackpot, I'm confident she'll make sure the numbers drawn match mine, no matter if I have 1 ticket for 100 tickets for that draw. They call that hope my friends, and while it took the recession to turn me into Canada's # 1 lottery fan, even when things pick up I'll bet you a $2 Lotto 6/49 that I'll keep on playing, because there is no time limit on hope.
