Hard Rock Vancouver Partners with Share Charity
The Hard Rock Vancouver has partnered with the Share charitable organisation. While the casino has been donating funds to the SHARE Family & Community Services organisation since it opened its doors, it has now officially recognised Share as its signature charitable partner. While Hard Rock is officially partnering with Share, it will still continue to support a number of other community groups in a number of different ways.
The Hard Rock Casino Vancouver has always held to the principle of caring for the community and has shown this by donating an amount of $10,000 to Share when it had its grand opening in December last year. More recently, a donation of $3,000 was made to Share at the Imagine gala fundraiser.
In addition to making donations at various times, the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver will also allows the charity organisation to make use of the facilities that are available at the casino. Along with that, staff from the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver will also volunteer to help out with various Share programmes that are run, including the food bank that Share operates.
Developing a Meaningful Relationship with its Charitable Partner
The Executive Director of the Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver, Raj Mutti, commented on the partnership, saying: "At Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, caring is a value that showcases our passion for everything we do, at work, outside of work, and in the community. As a team, we were active in seeking an organization within our community that does an amazing job in making a difference and we believe SHARE has achieved that by supporting individuals and families in the Tri-Cities for over 40 years."
"As our signature charitable partner, we'll look to develop even further a meaningful relationship with SHARE that goes beyond just financial considerations," he said. "This will be a partnership, not a sponsorship."
About SHARE Family & Community Services
The Share Family & Community Services had humble beginnings, starting with the clothing exchange that Gertie Grosser ran out of her home back in 1972. Grosser, the founder of the organisation, saw Share grow into an organisation that does so much more than its original clothing exchange. Share focuses on helping to build inclusive communities and uprooting poverty, as well as helping to promote general social well-being. The organisation provides food hampers to those in need, and assists many who need various forms of help.
Martin Wyant, the Chief Exceutive of Share, said: "SHARE is excited to be named as the signature charitable partner for the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver. We are particularly excited about the new opportunities to merge great entertainment with fundraising opportunities that bring tremendous benefits to the people we serve in our Tri-Cities community."
