$50 Million Lotto Max Jackpot on Friday
With nobody winning the Lotto Max top jackpot prize of $50 million last weekend, it's time to gear up for one of the hottest draws this Friday when the lottery will carry a $50 million jackpot, as well as an estimated 30 x $1 million MaxMillions tickets.
Friday, March 14th is the day to diarize because that is when the big LottoMax draw will take place.
The nationwide lottery has weekly jackpots that begin at $10 million, but when the jackpot reaches $50 million (as it has in the past few weeks), the game also offers MaxMillions - giving you the chance to win additional prizes of $1 million.
This weekend will see around 30 lucky Canadians take home a $1 million prize, as well as a super whopper of a main jackpot - $50 million!
Lotto Max Boasts Incredible History
Since it launched in 2009, LottoMax has remained at the top of the favorites list for Canadian lottery players. In its short but dramatic history, LottoMax has paid out TWENTY THREE $50 million jackpots, with the most recent one taking place in British Columbia when a lucky player won half of the big prize on November 1, 2013.
Interestingly, the number 18 is the number that is drawn the most in Lotto Max draws.
MaxMillions was also launched in 2009 and is added to LottoMax draws when the jackpot reaches $50 million.
To win a MaxMillions prize, players need to match seven out of seven numbers. According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, 63 Maxmillions have been won in BC since 2009.
