Win $26 Million Lotto 649 Jackpot
June 1 - This Saturday will see another Lotto 649 lottery draw, with an estimated $26 million up for grabs. This nationwide lottery has jackpots beginning at around $3 million, and so it is clear that this is one prize simply begging to be won!
For $2, players can receive one six number lottery number selection, and put themselves in line to win millions of dollars, and for just $1 more, they can purchase an 'extra', and the chance to win $500,000.
To play the lottery and win the $26 million Lotto 649 jackpot, players need to predict which numbers from 1 - 49 will be drawn, or the Quick Pick on the lottery terminal can make the choice for them.
Sales for this weekend's Lotto 649 draw will end at 6 pm Pacific Time.
The odds of matching six out of six numbers are 1:13,983,816, while the odds of winning any prize in the draw are 1:32.
BCLC Celebrating Lotto 649 Anniversary
It's been 30 years since Canadians have been enjoying the winning features of Lotto 649 and worthy causes benefitting from the millions of dollars raised by this lottery.
To give something back to their loyal customers, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation is running a special promotion from now until June 30th that will see a total of 30 bonus draws of $100,000 each on each regular Lotto 649 draw.
Following the regular draw on Wednesdays and Saturdays, three bonus draws will be held. For each bonus draw, a set of six numbers from 1 - 49 will be randomly drawn.
To win the bonus prize, players need to match six out of six numbers exactly. Should there be more than one winner, the prize will be shared among the winners.
$15 Million Lotto 649 Prize
The last big Lotto 649 win was at the end of April when Mike and Audrey Myrick from Dartmouth won $15.78 million. The couple found out that they had won a day after the April 25th draw, but Mike decided to honor a previous arrangement and head off with some friends for a week long annual fishing trip before claiming his check.
"I couldn't disappoint the guys," he explained.
However, four days into the trip, his wife couldn't wait any longer and she left him a message telling him to head on home.
The following Friday, the two arrived to pick up their massive check at the lottery offices in a white stretch limo.
"We're still processing this. It's like an out of body experience," noted Mike.
Asked what they'll do with their win, the couple note that they have "a bunch of bills like everybody does."
"They're going to disappear really fast," said Mike.
