A new mobile casino was launched by the top online gambling group, Virgin Games, this week.

The company announced that the new Virgin Games mobile casino, which has been developed as a web application, is instantly available to players and has been integrated into the Virgin Game's gaming platform.

Players will be able to pay for their Virgin Casino Mobile entertainment through their current Virgin account, without the need to open a new one, making for convenient and seamless gaming across all Virgin brands, including poker, bingo, casino and mobile.

The new Virgin Casino Mobile will incorporate top titles from Microgaming's mobile games content initially, but Virgin Casino said that it will also add titles from other software providers, similar to its online casino platform, at a later date.

For now, players will be able to enjoy Microgaming slot games such as Thunderstruck video slot and Tomb Raider video slot.

The CEO of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever, said: "We are very happy to continue expanding our strong share in the mobile market by providing Virgin Games with our suite of mobile content through QuickFire.  In the past, we have seen joint success with our QuickFire partnership with Virgin Games, so we are confident that together we can seize all the opportunities the mobile gaming market currently presents to providers.

"Microgaming has the strongest portfolio of Flash assets in the industry and our slick, user friendly content is sure to be a big hit with Virgin Games' fans," he added.

Virgin Games Responds to Customer Demand

The Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Games, Simon Burridge, said that his company was responding to customer demand for an excellent mobile gambling product, especially with the increase of smart phones in the market, which exceed 40% in the UK and make up for a large percentage of the Canadian gambling market.

"While the gaming industry has been on the cusp of a mobile revolution for some time, 2011 has really been the year when the planets have aligned to make mobile gaming a more attractive proposition," he said.

"For us, we see it as the right time the company's life, the industry's life and the technology is ready."

"We put customers at the heart of what we do and the mobile launch is yet another example of this," he said. "We can't afford not to do this - it's what our customers want and it's where the online gaming industry is heading."
