$40 Million LottoMax Jackpot For Friday November 4
Canadian lottery fans are rushing to buy tickets ahead of tonight's LottoMax
draw, which boasts a massive $40 million jackpot, especially following another
recent LottoMax draw, which saw winner, Franco Varone, end up $50 million
richer.
Thanksgiving in Varone's home this year in Woodbridge Ontario, was one where his
entire family was thankful for his lottery luck, as it was then that the 73 year
old father and grandfather told his stunned family that he had won a $50 million
LottoMax jackpot two weeks before.
Varone, an Italian immigrant and recently retired car mechanic, said that he had been playing the lottery for several years, and could still not believe his luck. Varone matched all seven numbers correctly in the Canadian LottoMax draw on October 7.
Varone is a LottoMax Millionaire 50 Times Over
"I was trembling in my car when I saw I matched all seven numbers, so I told my wife right away and she started to cry," Varone said. However, he decided to wait until Thanksgiving to tell his children and grandchildren that he was a LottoMax millionaire 50 times over.
"At Thanksgiving, my kids came to my home for turkey and I told them. I didn't want to rush in like others do, I wanted to be prepared before collecting the check," he continued.
Varone said he wants to relax before deciding what to do with his newly won LottoMax fortune, but is leaning towards a family vacation, as well as helping out a few family members financially.
Varone admitted that his only regret is that he did not win the lottery 50 years ago.
LottoMax Sales Up Ahead of Draw Tonight
Due to Varone's $50 million win - the biggest single ticket win in Ontario history - there has been a LottoMax buying frenzy ahead of tonight's $40 million draw, as hundreds of thousands of Canadians vie to join the exclusive lotto millionaire's club.
For only $5 per LottoMax ticket, players get to choose three sets of seven numbers ranging between 1-49. LottoMax tickets will be available for purchase until 9 pm (Eastern Time) tonight.
