Amaya Gaming Signs Lottery Deal with Montenegro
The Canadian gambling group, Amaya Gaming Group, announced that it has signed a lucrative lottery and online gambling deal with Montenegro's official lottery provider.
The licensing deal with Lutrija Crne Gore (National Lottery of Montegro) marks Amaya's first official deal with a European state.
This five year agreement will see Amaya provide lottery and online gaming technologies, as well as operational support to Lutrija Crne Gore.
LCG has exclusive rights for the Montenegro lottery and Amaya will act as the exclusive provider of its online gambling arm, in exchange for a percentage of the profits.
The CEO of Lutrija Crne Gore, Sava Grbovic said about the deal: "We are looking forward to integrating Amaya's turnkey solutions into lottery and online gaming service offering in addition to the benefits provided by their managerial expertise gained elsewhere."
He said that Amaya has rapidly built a solid international reputation and is able to clearly demonstrate its value. "They have laid out a business plan that generates the most significant incremental value for the lottery, and also maintains the highest levels of integrity and responsibility in all operational processes."
Expansion into Regulated Regions
According to the President and CEO of Amaya Gaming, David Baazov, this first agreement in a European country follows the group's endeavours in other parts of the world, namely the Dominican Republic and Kenya.
"The growing interest demonstrated towards Amaya's turnkey solutions for regulated gaming activities clearly demonstrates the value of our business model," he said. "We look forward to collaborating with Lutrija Crne Gore in the management and operation of the national lottery in Montenegro."
