Texans Colts Spread Points To Indy Revenge Win
The AFC South is incredibly competitive this season with the Texans, Colts, and Titans all in the mix to be crowned division winner and go to the coveted postseason. Houston and Indianapolis are both 4-2 but Houston holds the tiebreaker edge right now after stunning the Colts in the opening game of the season. The latest Texans Colts spread of -5.5 points in favor of the Colts suggests that a revenge win might be on hand, however.
The Colts are notoriously slow starters in the regular season and it was no surprise to us that they were ambushed in Houston. The Texans won that game by a final score of 34-24 but that flattered the Colts who scored points when the result of the game was beyond doubt. Since then the Texans have been less impressive, struggling to narrow victories in three games (Redskins in OT, Raiders, Chiefs) and getting blown out twice (Giants and Cowboys).
The Colts are also 4-2, losing in the last seconds to the Jaguars on the road but otherwise performing well in winning 4 of their last 5 outings. It would seem likely that Indianapolis will win this game as well, but can they cover the 5.5 point spread?
The Texans have a habit of playing the Colts very close, although they do usually lose SU, and there might be some value in taking the road team for the upset cover if the line stays around 5 or 6 points, which seems highly probable.
The Over/Under for this game has been set high at 49.5 points, which comes as no surprise either. Monday Night Football bettors love to take the Over, and both these teams tend to play high-scoring games especially against one another. We recommend a bet on the Under at this line.
