Lotto Max craze continues to grip Canada as more and more players seek to become instant millionaires.

This weekend's Lotto Max draw saw nobody claim the $50 million jackpot prize, however this didn't mean that there were no winners overall.

Out of the 26 MaxMillion 'consolation' prizes all drawn on Friday, fifteen were won, meaning that fifteen Canadians woke up to find themselves instant millionaires this weekend.

Ontario topped the charts for the number of MaxMillion wins with seven in all, followed by six winners in Western Canada and one each in Atlantic Canada and Quebec.

The next Lotto Max draw will take place on Friday July 30th and players are already rushing to purchase their tickets and put themselves in line to win up to $50 million.

As the jackpot prize went unclaimed this weekend, Lotto Max has added 29 MaxMillion prizes of $1 million each this week.

In this specific draw, Canadians purchased $35 million worth of lottery tickets.

Overall, lottery ticket sales are up by around 23% this month.

Winning ticket number sequence for this week's draw was:

17 19 26 29 34 35 38
