Joanne Tsetta, the forty year old mother of three who won over $20 million on a Quick Pick lottery ticket, did not even understand how much she had actually won until someone pointed it out to her.

Tsetta went to cash the winning ticket at her local gas station and almost passed out when she thought she had won $2 million.

Imagine her surprise, when she realized that the store clerk had read it incorrectly.

"I read that figure wrong!" said the store worker. "I read it $2 million and I showed it to the following customer - the following customer read it properly and said '$20 million'!"

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation held a news conference late last week to introduce Edmonton's latest millionaire.

Tsetta, who recently moved from Yellowknife to Edmonton with her children, became Alberta's biggest single lottery winner with her $20,664,574 win on the March 20 Lotto 6/49 draw.

"It first sunk in when they said I was a multi millionaire," she said.

Tsetta, who is herself studying for her high school diploma, said that she would spend the money on getting her children educated and buying herself a new car.

The winner did not reveal herself immediately, as she said that she needed time for the news of her win to set in.

"It wasn't until I was watching the news and they were talking about this mystery woman who had yet to claim the $20 million jackpot and I thought, 'Hey, that's me!", " she said.

The lucky ticket was purchased at an Albert's Family Restaurant in Edmonton.
