NSGC Awarded Prestigious Certificate
After a long application process, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC) was pleased to announce that it has been awarded one of the most prestigious industry awards available out there - level four certification by the World Lottery Association.
Essentially, this means that NSGC meets the highest levels of social responsibility standards in the world.
The award is a double honour as NSGC is one of the first lotteries around the globe to be given this type of certification and at such a high level.
"For years now, NSGC has been driven by a commitment to social responsibility," said a member of the Independent Assessment Panel for the World Lottery Association, John Luff.
"This means putting that commitment to the toughest industry scrutiny," he continued. "It means global recognition. And it means other lotteries will look to NSGC for help and guidance. In my opinion, NSGC and Nova Scotia should be justly proud."
Indeed, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation is extremely proud of its achievement, especially since the 141 lottery groups that are incorporated under the World Lottery Association umbrella need to meet a basic level 1 standard to join the group.
Members of the WLA are encouraged to advance in their levels of social responsibility which includes responsible gaming design, player education, public reporting and industry initiatives.
"Social responsibility is the cornerstone of every decision we make," said the President and Chief Executive Officer of NSGC, Marie Mullally. "This formal recognition from a well respected panel of social responsibility experts is one we are extremely proud of."
