Why the $4.1m Mega Moolah Winner Should Have Been Me

The only sour grapes I'm a fan of are the kind used in the balsamic vinegar I make my famous salad dressing with. But recently, however, I experienced sour grapes of an altogether different kind. You know, the kind that us humans experience when we think we've been 'cheated' out of something we believe should have been ours.

My case of sour grapes directly involves the recent winner (known only as Mrs P) of a whopping $4.1 million Mega Moolah progressive jackpot at Spin Palace Casino. Why, you may well ask, should this particular lucky lady's good fortune irk me so, considering that online gambling fans from all over the world win huge payouts and progressive jackpots every day?

I'll tell you why. In the 10 years or so that I have been gambling online from my home here in Toronto, Canada, Spin Palace Casino has become one of my favourite online gambling haunts. And Mega Moolah progressive jackpot slots has become one of my favourite games because of its great graphics, great features, great payouts and, of course, the chance to win the really big bucks.

But I digress. According to the news reports, Mrs P became the world's latest instant online casino millionaire sometime on Tuesday, August 31 this year. Which is the exact same day I happened to be logged into Spin Palace Casino playing, yup you guessed it, Mega Moolah slots - and on the maximum bet no less. And although I came out ahead after my lengthy session, I didn't come close to winning $4.1 million. Hence my sour grapes.

However, I want to be clear that I bear Mrs P,  Spin Palace Casino or Mega Moolah slots no ill feelings. No sir. My sour grapes are firmly directed at Lady Luck who has been by my side as often as not over the years, but who on Tuesday last week deserted me. Am I not entitled to win a life changing progressive jackpot so large, that I can retire to a tropical island somewhere spending my time trying to solve the hardest of Suduko puzzles while juggling a bevy of bikini-clad beauties and multi-colored cocktails?

That is indeed the question.

But as a die-hard optimist, even as I write these words I can feel the weight of the sour grapes lifting from my shoulders only to be replaced by an exhilarating sense of anticipation deep inside me that maybe the next Mega Moolah progressive jackpot at Spin Palace Casino has my name written all over it. After all, why shouldn't it be me who wins the big one next time? I see no reason why it shouldn't. Salad anyone?
