Calgary Resident Wins Western Max Lottery
How is it possible that a Calgary resident won a $1,000,000 Lottery without noticing? Apparently, for lucky winner Sneh Padarat, a Calgarian, it was easy.
Sneh had purchased a lottery ticket for the Western Max lottery. The ticket that she purchased was for a draw that took place on May 3rd. She simply did not check it soon after the lottery draw took place.
By the time Sneh decided to check the May lottery ticket, it was towards the end of July. She scanned it in the Ticket Checker, and after it confirmed a win, she scanned it again. And when she realised that she had won something, she handed the ticket to the retailer.
Sneh said when she saw that she had won something: "I thought, if anything, it was $10,000." Little did the lotto fan realise that she had in fact won a whopping $1,000,000.

Her reaction, as she recalled it was that she simply froze. Although this must have been in part because of the good shock she had received, she also explained that when she gets very excited, she usually gets very quiet.
"I didn't know what to do," said the new millionaire. She explained: "You buy tickets but you never think you're going to win."
Sneh said that even though they talk about winning the lottery, they never really expected to do so. She said laughingly: "I always go in and ask for the winning ticket."
How to Spend $1 Million of Lottery Winnings
Sneh was asked how she was planning to spend her lottery winnings. She said that she has plans to pay some bills that she has, and also to pay off her new house. The lucky winner also plans to invest some of the winnings. "I will be comfortable. I have a new house that I can pay off now!" said the lucky Western Max lottery winner with a smile.
