The 2012-13 NFL Season has delivered on all fronts - from showcasing top teams, highlighting disappointing teams, and revealing teams that against all odds did much better than even their most die-hard fans expected.

But there can be only one Super Bowl champion, and when all has been said and done, the 32 NFL franchises that kicked off the season all those many months ago, have been reduced to just four teams - the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots representing the AFC Championship, and the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons representing the NFC Championship.

Ravens Just Managed to Squeak Through

On the weekend, the Ravens just managed to squeak through with the narrowest 38-35 double-over time win against the Denver Broncos, while the Patriots convincingly beat the Texans 41-28. Likewise, the 49ers took no prisoners when they dispatched Super Bowl XLV winners, the Packers 45-31, while the Falcons almost blew a 20 point lead to hang on to a narrow 30-28 victory against the plucky, never-say-die Seahawks.

What this means is come Sunday (January 20), Baltimore and New England will face off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, while San Francisco and Atlanta will do battle. Most NFL betting fans expect these two NFL Championship games to be amongst the toughest of the season so far, considering what is at stake.

The two losing teams will have to deal with the overwhelming disappointment of having come so far only to falter at the last hurdle, while the two winning teams will have to prepare themselves mentally and physically for the biggest game of the year - Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday, February 3 at the Superdome in New Orleans.

With just three games to go before the 2012-13 NFL Season is officially over, online sportsbooks have been inundated with NFL fans hoping to catch some of the NFL betting action, all with one objective - to make some serious coin. And it is not just North American sports fans who are betting big.
