Ontario was on the map again this week after yet another resident from the province took down a massive Canadian lottery prize.

A 64 year old grandmother of five, Susan Flam is the latest winner of a $50 million Lotto Max prize after she hit the jackpot in last week's lottery draw.

On Saturday, the day after the December 21st draw, Flam stopped off at the customer service desk at Sobey's to check her two lottery tickets.

Flam couldn't read the numbers properly and thought that she had won $50,000. It was only after calling her husband over to look again that she saw the words "Big Winner" and several more zeroes than she had initially counted.

Unlike some winners who jump up and down in disbelief, Flam said she just froze. "It still hasn't sunk in," she admitted.

Flam has never won a big payout on her lottery tickets before, although she plays every week. "I won three dollars once a long time ago," she recalled. "It was very exciting."

Donating Lottery Jackpot to Charity

Susan Flam, whose husband is CFO of an unidentified Canadian company, said she has been doing charity work for over 30 years, and intends donating some of her Lotto Max $50 million to her favorite funds.

However, no big decisions have been made about what the couple plan to do with their newly won riches, and Flam said that things will wait until the new year.

Flam said she would help her family with the money. "My motto is always pay it forward," she said.

Ron Flam said that he has no intention to retire from his job which has "never been considered work."

"I'm happy to get up in the morning and go," he said.

Asked if he had any plans for some of the millions, Ron Flam quipped: "Whatever she lets me have."

$12 Million Lotto Max Prize

The next Lotto Max draw will take place tonight, December 28th, with an estimated prize pool of $12 million, which could be a fantastic sum to take into the new year.

Players pay $5 per play for three sets of numbers, having to pick seven numbers from 1 to 49 or a Quick Pick, the system used by Susan Flam.

Draws are held every Friday at 9 pm Eastern Time and there is still time left to buy tickets for tonight's draw.
