$50 Million Lotto Max Jackpot Friday Night
Tonight (Friday, November 23rd), you have the chance to win a top division one prize of $50 million in the Lotto Max lottery draw.
This exciting nationwide game has you choose seven numbers from one through to 49. Every Friday evening, seven numbers are drawn, as well as a bonus number, which are used for two prize categories.
To win (or share) the Lotto Max jackpot, you need to match all seven of the Lotto Max numbers to the seven numbers which are drawn.

Cost of Lotto Max
Each Lotto Max play costs you just $5 which gives you three sets of seven numbers from 1 - 49. You can choose the first set of numbers yourself or you can ask that the QuickPick makes a random choice for you on all three sets. It is possible to play up to 5 plays (ie. 15 selections) per ticket.
There is also the chance to choose to play 'Extra' which puts you in line to win $500,000.
Lotto Max Winners
One of the most recent wins on a Lotto Max ticket was by a rig crew from Edson which won half of a $50 million jackpot at the beginning of November.
Fifteen rig workers on the CanElson Rig 32 each took home $1.67 million after checking - and then double checking - their ticket.
The store clerk who confirmed the win for the crew recalled the moment: "They were really, really happy," he said. "At first when they came to the store they let me check their individual tickets, then they checked some. After they checked the ticket they were all screaming, they came over to me and they let me check the ticket and it was $25 million. That's the first time that I've seen anyone win a big one."
An operations manager of the rig where the 15 work, Jamie Hopaluk added: "You couldn't wipe the smiles off with a shovel, they were ecstatic."
The 15 are nearly all under the age of 40 and have been pooling their money regularly to purchase lottery tickets.
The other $25 million was won by a player in British Columbia.
