Tiger Woods US Masters 2012 Betting Favorite
One thing about Americans is that they love a 'comeback kid', and the fact Tiger Woods won his first tournament in two and a half years last week, has golf pundits scrambling to back him to win next week's 2012 US Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
Love him or hate him, Tiger Woods is no doubt the greatest golfer that ever lived, and although he may have lost some of his fans because of shocking revelations in his personal life, in a perfect world he would only be judged on his performance on a golf course.
Tiger Woods is Favored to Win US Masters 2012
And judging by how well Tiger played to earn a victory in last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, he may well be on track to win this year's Masters. Most land and online sportsbook certainly believe he can, considering they have laid him as the betting favorite.
This includes leading online sportsbook Bodog, which has posted Tiger Woods as the Masters 4/1 favorite, followed by Rory McIlroy at 5/1 odds, Phil Mickelson at 12/1 odds, Luke Donald at 14/1 odds and Lee Westwood at 16/1 odds.
If Tiger wins the US Masters 2012, he'll be just three shy of matching Jack Nicklaus' amazing record of 18 Major Championships. The 2012 US Masters starts on Thursday, April 5 and runs until Sunday, April 8.
