NFL Week 17 Games and Betting Lines

On Sunday, Week 17 of the 2011-12 NFL Regular season kicks off, where many teams on the cusp of making it to the playoffs will have to dig deep to keep their Super Bowl dreams alive.

As such, millions of football fans across North America will tune in to watch as the action unfolds, while at the same time most online sports betting sites are expected to do a brisk trade, especially as all 16 game are divisional rematches, 12 of which will impact the final playoffs roster.

One such online sportsbook is Canadian-friendly site Bodog, which has posted all the NFL Week 17 games and betting lines ahead of the weekend's matchups.

And a game that will no doubt attract a high number of viewers and betting fans alike, is the game between bitter NFC East rivals, the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, who are currently co-leading the division on 8-7 each. This means that Sunday's game will be for an all-important final division ticket.

Cowboys Will Start as +3 Point Underdogs

Because the Cowboys crashed and burned last time out to the Philadelphia Eagles 20-7, they'll have to get back on their horses, so to speak, if they have any hope of bringing down the Giants. They'll travel to New York, which coupled with their recent defeat, may explain why they'll start as the +3 point betting underdogs.

That and the fact the New York Giants racked up a solid 29-14 victory over the New York Jets last time out, which means their confidence is high, and they'll have the overwhelming support of their home crowd. Plus it won't hurt the Giants' chances any that they boast a top-notch quarterback in Eli Manning, who led his team to a Super Bowl victory once before. The question is whether he can do it again?

It will not be lost on NFL betting fans that in the last matchup between the Giants and the Cowboys on December 11, the Giants pulled out a 37-34 victory, which may just give them the psychological edge they need over their opponents. But being football, anything could happen. One thing is for sure though, which is that this will be a nail-biter of a game!
