Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame to Get 10 New Inductees

Leading the way where the horses are concerned is Mister Big, the talented son of Grinfromeartoear, who during his illustrious career won 34 races from 85 starts, came second 20 times, third 11 times and earned over $4-million in purses.
Owned by U.S. racehorse owner Joseph Muscara, a household name amongst Canadian horse racing fans, Mister Big is a multiple Dan Patch and Nova Award winner and is now standing stud at Tara Hills Stud Farm in Port Perry, Ontario.
Topping the list of human inductees to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame is legendary Canadian racehorse trainer Robert McIntosh who is widely acknowledged as the nation's top trainer and whose list of achievements go on forever.
For instance, McIntosh who hails from Windsor, Ontario has sent out over 3,560 winners in his career that have earned a total of $78 million in purses. Plus he has trained a record 15 Breeders Crown winners and is a four-time O'Brien winner.
The other three notable horsemen that will be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame include Mel Lawson, a leading owner and breeder in Ontario who has owned such winners as Eternal Search, Let's Go Blue and Ginger Gold.
Frank Barroby is a talented jockey turned trainer with wins under his belt. He's been the leading trainer at Hastings Park in Vancouver three times and is the first BC-based trainer to be inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
Peter Heffering will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame, a campaigner of many top horses including Precious Bunny, who earned over $2 million in purses and is already a member of the Hall of Fame. Heffering opened Tara Hills Stud Farm.
The other five equine inductees include Classic Wish, A Worthy Lad, Victory Gallop, Lady Angela and Victorian Era.
