Lacey Jones Signed by Canadian Poker Tour
With the number of female contestants in decline over the last two years in the Canadian Poker Tour, the organizers decided to sign on one lady who could definitely inject some new blood into the competition.
As such, it was announced that poker pro, Lacey Jones will become the new face of the poker tour.
Voted the hottest girl in the poker world, Jones will feature in a number of promotional campaigns to kick start the Canadian Poker Tour.
She will appear on she cover of a new Canadian Poker Player Magazine, and have a featured article.
"I truly love Canadians and am so happy to be part of the Canadian Poker Tour," said Jones.
The President of the Canadian Poker Team, Kelly Kellner also vouched for Jones' love of all things Canadian.
"Here is a girl that loves hockey, loves Canadian beer and is an amazing poker player to top it off," said Kellner. "We believe that by having Lacey attend many of our events and the fact that she is about to move to Vancouver, the partnership couldn't be stronger."
Jones first public event as the new face of the Canadian Poker Tour will take place at the Winter Freezeout in Cash Casino, Calgary (February 24 - 28).
Jones first broke onto the poker circuit after she proved that she was more than just a model hired to do promo work for a poker company.
Her prowess on the green felt was discovered and she went on to enter - and make cashes - in competitions such as the Borgata Poker Open and the World Series of Poker tournament.
