The Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Canada, was the scene of a late night drama when a man intentionally smashed his vehicle into the front doors of the establishment.

Harold Howard, a 51 year old mixed martial arts performer, who has appeared on UFC twice (3 and 7), has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The incident began after Howard allegedly entered into a dispute with another two individuals at a Niagara Falls residence.

He reportedly assaulted them both with an unidentified weapon and then fled the scene.

He then pulled up into the driveway of another residence, colliding with another vehicle, before fleeing again.

Police gave chase and demanded that Howard pull over. Instead, he pulled into the grounds of the Fallsview Casino and deliberately smashed through the front doors at around 2 am.

The two assaulted individuals are being treated for serious injuries in hospital.

The police commented on the incident in the local media and said: "Thank God it wasn't Friday night. We were extremely fortunate not more people were around. A couple of people had to duck out of the way but we could have had some real serious problems there if it had been a few hours earlier or another day."

No patrons of the casino were injured.

Casino officials said that the car came to rest a short distance away from the gaming floor.
